What is Essential Tremor?

Tremor is an uncontrollable shaking which are typical symptoms of a neurological disorder. Essential Tremor is caused by abnormalities in the part of the brain where movement is controlled. Tremors are unintentional muscle movements. Essential Tremor affects mostly the hands. It is the most common of any movement disorder. People with Essential Tremor will notice trembling when writing, shaving, eating or drinking. Sometimes, your head, voice or arms may tremble. Essential Tremor usually begins in the dominant side of the body. Essential Tremor can be mild or slow progressing. Stress, fevers, fatigue or low blood sugar could cause tremors or for tremors to become more severe. Essential Tremor could be a side effect from caffeine, medication or withdrawal from medication.
